CELTICS DOMINATE CLIPPERS AT INTUIT DOME, JANUARY 3, 2026

The Boston Celtics delivered a commanding 146 - 115 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on January 3, 2026, at the Intuit Dome. The Celtics win was highlighted by a wonderful performance from Jaylen Brown, who matched his career high with 50 points, and single-handedly dismantled the Clippers' defense. The loss for the Clippers snapped their season-best, six-game winning streak.

Brown shooting was exceptional, 18-of-26 from the field, including 6-of-10 from three-point range. He scored 19 of his points in the third quarter alone, that helped the Celtics pull away for good.

Celtics guard Derrick White also had a wonderful night, contributing 29 points and seven assists. The Celtics' offense was incredible, shooting 55.2% from the floor and 47.1% from outside the three point line.

The Clippers, who had been playing well, struggled to contain Boston. Kawhi Leonard, who had been on a hot streak, was held to 22 points on 6-of-17 shooting from the field, in large part due to Brown's defense. James Harden finished with 18 points and 12 assists, while John Collins added 22 points for Los Angeles.

The game got off to a fast start, with the Celtics putting up 42 points in the first quarter, their highest since opening night. While the Clippers managed to cut the deficit in the second and third quarters, they collapsed in the fourth, scoring just 16 points compared to Boston's 33.

To make matters worse for the Clippers, forward Derrick Jones Jr. left the game in the fourth quarter with an apparent right knee injury.

The Celtics completed their successful five-game road trip with a 4-1 record and headed back home to host the Chicago Bulls on the following Monday. The Clippers, looking to regroup, were set to host the Golden State Warriors, also on Monday night.
